App Terms
These terms cover every app GenesisFlō publishes. Each app also has its own terms and its own licence agreement, written for what that app actually does. Where an app's own terms say something different, the app's terms win.
These are not the terms for the GenesisFlō website and newsletter, which are at /terms.
1. Who you are agreeing with
GenesisFlō, publisher of the apps listed at /apps. Contact: tech@genesisflo.com.
2. Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, for as long as you keep to these terms. You do not own the app; you are licensed to use it.
You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source of our apps, except where the law says such a restriction cannot be enforced against you.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Our apps are not directed at children. You must be old enough to hold an account where you live.
4. Your content
What you write stays yours. To operate the app we need permission to store and display it back to you, and, where you post something to a shared space inside an app, to display it to the people that space is for. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for anything already anonymised or already shared with others.
You are responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.
5. Acceptable use
Across every app, do not:
- Post anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or designed to demean another person.
- Impersonate anyone, or claim to speak for GenesisFlō.
- Attempt to reach data belonging to another person, or interfere with the service for anyone else.
- Use the apps to give or solicit medical, legal, or financial advice as though it came from us.
Apps that carry user-generated content operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour, with in-app reporting, blocking, and human moderation. Serious or repeated breaches end your access without notice.
6. Not professional advice
Our apps are educational and devotional tools. They are not medical devices, and nothing in them is medical, legal, or financial advice. Anything an app tells you about your body, your money, or your rights is information, not a diagnosis or a recommendation. Consult a qualified professional.
7. Your data
Each app has its own privacy policy, because each app collects different things and both Apple and Google require the disclosure to be specific to the app. Read the one that belongs to the app you are using. Every app lets you delete your account and its data.
8. Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may stop publishing an app. If we retire an app, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.
9. Ending it
You can stop using an app at any time and delete your account from inside it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
10. Disclaimers and liability
Our apps are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data where you had the ability to export it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Some countries do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.
11. Apple and Google
Where you obtained an app from the App Store or Google Play, that store is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to these terms
We update these terms when what we do changes. Material changes are announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use an app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
