Milelog
Every mile. Logged, classified, defensible.
Milelog records the drives you take for work without being asked, and turns them into a mileage log you can actually defend. It catches the first drive of the morning, the one most trackers lose because the app was asleep when the car pulled out.
When a drive ends it asks a single question: business or personal? Answer from the notification and it is done. Buy it once. There is no subscription, no account, and nothing leaves your phone.
- It catches the drive you would otherwise lose
- Milelog remembers where you parked, so the morning commute is measured from your driveway rather than from wherever the phone happened to wake up. The first drive of the day is the one competitors miss, and it is the one you take every single morning.
- One tap, from the notification
- Business or personal, answered without opening the app, while you still remember where you went. Drive the same route and answer the same way three times, and Milelog offers to do it for you from then on. It offers. It never decides for you.
- A battery claim you can check
- GPS is genuinely off while you are parked. Not throttled, off. Settings has a diagnostics screen showing the live engine state and exactly how many minutes of GPS you have used today, so you do not have to take our word for it.
- Built for an audit, not just for a total
- Every trip records when it was logged, which is the evidence that makes a log credible. The audit report flags vague purposes, gaps, retroactive entries and odometer mismatches, and tells you which trip each problem belongs to.
- Names, not coordinates
- Milelog notices the places you keep driving to and offers to name them. Your log then reads "Home to Acme Corp" instead of two street addresses, which is also what a tax authority wants: a destination, not a pair of numbers.
- Whole shifts, for rideshare and delivery
- Switch to Driver mode and every mile during a shift counts, including the deadhead miles between drop-offs that per-trip trackers throw away. Enter what the shift paid and see your real dollars per mile and per hour.
No server. No account. No trackers.
Your routes are a map of your life: where you live, where you work, who you visit and when. Milelog keeps all of it in a database on your phone. There is no server for it to sync to, no account to create, and no analytics or advertising code in the app. The only way anything leaves the device is if you export it yourself.
Documents
Milelog is a record-keeping tool. It is not a tax preparation service and does not provide tax, accounting or legal advice. Mileage rates are published by the relevant tax authority and are included for convenience; confirm the rate and the rules that apply to your circumstances with a qualified professional before filing.
