These terms cover your use of the Milelog app. By using it, you agree to them.

What Milelog is

A record-keeping tool that records your drives and helps you organise them into a mileage log. It is published by GenesisFlō.

What Milelog is not

It is not a tax preparation service and it does not give tax, accounting or legal advice. It calculates figures from the records you keep and the mileage rates published by the relevant tax authority. Whether those rates apply to you, whether a particular drive is deductible, and what you ultimately file are your decisions, and they are worth taking to a qualified professional.

It is not a guarantee of accuracy. Milelog measures drives using your phone's sensors. GPS is imperfect, phones get switched off, permissions get revoked, and operating systems suspend apps for reasons outside our control. Milelog is built to degrade honestly rather than to invent data, but you remain responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your own records. Check them before you rely on them.

Your records are yours

You own everything you enter. We claim no rights over your trips, places, purposes or exports, and we cannot access any of it: it is stored on your device and never transmitted to us. See the Privacy Policy.

Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover your data for you. If you lose your phone without a backup, the records are gone. Export regularly if they matter, and they probably do.

Payment

Milelog is a one-time purchase through the App Store. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us; we cannot issue one directly.

Acceptable use

Do not use Milelog to falsify records. Producing a mileage log that misrepresents drives you did not take is fraud in most jurisdictions, and no feature of this app is designed to help with it. The contemporaneity evidence Milelog records exists precisely to make honest logs credible.

Do not decompile, resell, or redistribute the app. See the Licence.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, GenesisFlō is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Milelog, including any tax, penalty, interest or professional fee resulting from records kept with it. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Availability and changes

We may update Milelog, change its features, or stop distributing it. If a change materially reduces what the app does, it will be described in the release notes. Your existing records stay on your device regardless.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GenesisFlō operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
